The Destination M/T features Firestone’s innovative Long Link Carbon tread compound, a special formula of carbon black that’s been re-engineered at the molecular level. Long Link Carbon helps enhance wet-weather performance and tire wear properties on the highway, while resisting cuts, tears and abrasions off-road. The symmetric tread design is comprised of deep lugs, with a pattern of lugs wrapping around the shoulders at a 23-degree attack angle for extra biting edges to claw into ruts and generate traction.

Toward the tire’s bead, Firestone’s Rim Guard Off-Road Protector Ribs help prevent damage to rims and keep the sidewall stiffer for a more positive fit between bead and rim. Internally, the Destination M/T is built with high-tensile steel cord belts and a spiral-wrapped nylon cap layer, with a three-ply polyester cord body for durability and road manners.

The Destination M/T from Firestone is branded with the industry’s M + S symbol for wintertime traction. While the Destination M/T is great on deep snow, it can also be equipped with TSMI #6 silver-colored metallic studs for enhanced traction on ice.

The Destination M/T isn’t covered by a treadlife warranty, but is backed by a five-year warranty on workmanship and materials. That warranty covers free replacement for the first three years, then a prorate replacement cost until it reaches a minimum 2/32” tread depth.
